Tribute to the Moulin Rouge

Saturday night Nov 21st, 2009 7-9pm SL/PST
The Moulin Rouge presents a Tribute to the Moulin Rouge
Live on Stage – The Moulin Rouge Revue performers

Le Moulin Rouge, world famous thanks to its French Cancan, and immortalized by the painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, has always presented sumptuous shows to its spectators. From the original stage play Woman and Chicago to the Burlesque performances and the great revues… the concept is still the same at the Moulin Rouge: feathers, rhinestones and sequins, fabulous settings, music and of course… the most beautiful girls and guys in the virtual world.

Saturday from 7-9pm, the Moulin Rouge comes alive with a special tribute performance directed by our own Goddess of the stage, Xanthia Lisle.  She has outdone herself this time with her incredible set work, costumes and designs.  She has brought together for your pleasure three of the timeless acts from the Moulin Rouge Movie.  The selections are Lady Marmalade, Sparkling Diamonds (Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend), El Tango de Roxanne followed by our infamous Cancan Medley.

Don’t miss your chance to see the world-renown Rouge Revue dancers strut their stuff on the Moulin Rouge’s well worn stage.

Thank you one and all for your continued patronage.  It is for you, our Patrons, that we keep this dream alive.

CHICAGO spins a seductive web of intrigue by offering a glimpse into the “glamorous” side of crime in the 1920’s as we are walked through the struggles and trials of the murderesses inhabiting Chicago’s Cook County jail. Crime has never looked so good as each number draws you in through spectacular songs with attention getting lyrics and fabulous dancing that will leave you at the edge of your seat.

The Moulin Rouge Revue goes all out to provide show stopping entertainment featuring spectacular numbers and stage sets designed by our talented directors Xanthia Lisle and Evangelina Manhattan. Our seasoned cast of Moulin Rouge Revue dancers will “Razzle Dazzle” you leaving you begging for more.

The Moulin Rouge Island, owned by Madame Kris Harmison is a Neo-Victorian Role Play sim, we role-play in the early turn of the century as an alternate reality. Neo-Victorian is an aesthetic movement, which amalgamates Victorian and Edwardian aesthetic sensibilities with modern principles and technologies.

The Moulin Rouge is a beautiful theater based on the movie version of the old Moulin Rouge.  The Moulin Rouge has been in Second Life for many years predating all the current crop of copies.

Welcome!

This is the first of many posts about my adventures in SL.

SL is more than a game, in fact it really is more like an electronic extension of ones self.  Or perhaps it is an exploratory tool to investigate what you and others might due under circumstances unlikely to occur in your every day old first life.
